The Sale and Supply of Liquor Act does not allow “shops within shops”, which mean restaurants and speciality food stores like La Bella Italia in Petone face great difficulty in providing both a restaurant with an on-licence and a retail area with an off-license, all under the one roof and at the same time.

Restaurants like Bel Mondo and La Bella shouldn’t have to erect physical barriers and sell wine in-store through an iPad!
