After big pressure from the community, the government committed to “fully-funding” the new Melling Interchange in January 2020 – but now it is all at risk, AGAIN!

Transport Minister Michael Wood won’t commit to delivering Melling. Construction is due to start in 2022 with funding of $258 million – but the government is considering the “scope, cost and schedule” of its 2020 commitments.

Labour MPs spent thousands on billboards all over the Hutt last year saying Melling was fully-funded and it was a 2020 election promise by Labour.

Sign your name to tell the government to commit to a new Melling Interchange.

A new interchange is critical for the Hutt Valley – it will reduce congestion, increase safety, improve flood protection, and make walking, cycling and taking the train easier.

We need Melling. Now the government needs to agree!
